Shrimp Pasta is a delightful and versatile dish that can be both elegant and comforting. Here’s a simple and flavorful recipe to make a creamy shrimp pasta:

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  1. Cook the Shrimp:
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the shrimp in a single layer, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  1. Make the Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • (Optional) Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, reducing slightly.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  1. Combine:
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the sauce to coat evenly.
  • Add the shrimp back to the skillet and gently combine everything together. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  1. Serve:
  • Garnish the shrimp pasta with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty finish.

Tips:

  • Variations: You can add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
  • Spice it up: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for some heat.
