Double Chocolate Chickpea Cookie Dough

One of my most popular recipes is by far my original Chickpea Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and it is also one of my personal favorite treats to make. The original recipe was so easy to make and got so many good reviews that I decided to make another recipe using the same chickpea base and adding in some more chocolate to make it into this perfect Double Chocolate Chickpea Cookie Dough and I have to say, it might even be my new favorite! Double Chocolate Chickpea Cookie Dough:

1 can chickpeas (remove their shells for the best texture)
2 tbsp maple syrup 
1/4 c. dates 
2 tbsp cacao powder 
1/3 c. peanut butter 
1 tsp vanilla 
1/3 c. chocolate chips (save out of food processor until end) 
1/4 c. Melted chocolate

Pinch of sea salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Strain and rinse the can of chickpeas. For smoother consistency cookie dough, remove the skin of the chickpea
2. Combine all ingredients (except chocolate chips) into a food processor
3. Blend until smooth
4. Add in chocolate chips
5. Place into sealable container and store in fridge
