PINK CAKE

A Pink Cake is perfect for celebrations like birthdays, baby showers, or any event where you want something colorful and fun. Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for a soft pink cake with pink buttercream frosting.

Pink Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the Cake:
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Pink food coloring (gel works best)
  • For the Pink Buttercream Frosting:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • Sprinkles or decorations (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add Dry Ingredients Alternately with Milk: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three additions, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  5. Add Pink Food Coloring: Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the batter and gently fold it in until you achieve your desired shade of pink. The more food coloring you add, the more intense the pink color will be.
  6. Bake: Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Make the Pink Buttercream Frosting: In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and mix on low speed until combined. Add the vanilla extract and 2-3 tablespoons of cream or milk to thin out the frosting as needed. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the frosting and mix until the color is even.
  8. Assemble the Cake: Once the cakes are completely cool, spread a layer of pink buttercream frosting on top of one cake layer. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the entire cake with the remaining pink frosting.
  9. Decorate: Add sprinkles, edible glitter, or any other decorations you like for an extra festive look.
  10. Serve: Slice and enjoy your fun and vibrant pink cake!

This cake is light, fluffy, and perfect for any occasion where you want a pop of color and sweetness!
